About the OIST Research Internship
The OIST Graduate School offers education and research opportunities to the students through their Research Internship. The duration of this OIST research internship is mainly 2 to 6 months. These short-term placements or internships helps students to gain experience and get knowledge in a particular laboratory and also help them to learn a specific techniques in which they are highly interested. Here Interns will get an opportunity to work under the direction of Professors and they will also contribute to the research activities of OIST.

Eligibility
Following mentioned are eligible to apply for the OIST Research Internship Program:
Students who are in the final 2 years of the undergraduate or Masters’s programs in universities, colleges, junior colleges, and vocational schools in Japan or overseas, or graduates from such institutions.
Students who are enrolled currently, they must have approval from their home institution. The academic background of applicants must be appropriate to their desired host unit(s) at OIST.

Duration
The duration of the OIST internships is mainly from 2 to 6 months, typically 10 to 12 weeks.
