National Experimental Skill Program by IIT kanpur

Today I am back with another interesting post for you. Here’s an amazing opportunity for all of you to step up in your career growth by participating in the national level test and gaining some amazing learnings and experience. Take a look at National Anveshika Experimental Skill Test (NAEST) which is going to be conducted by IIT KANPUR, and it would be a great competition for all in the field of physics.

National Experimental Skill Program by IIT kanpur

NAEST Details  

National Anveshika Network of India has collaborated with the Centre of Continuing Education, IIT Kanpur and together they are conducting National Anveshika Experimental Skill Test (NAEST). This event happens every year through the Anveshikas in order to encourage the culture of doing experiments. 

NAEST is conducted to introduce or implant the culture of doing physics experiments. Professor H.C. Verma is the Chief coordinator of this course/ competition.

NAEST is a somewhat different examination and is perhaps the first of its kind in India. NAEST is organized majorly for two groups, 

  • (a) Junior, 18 years and below
  • (b) Senior, Above 18 years

Structure of NAEST-2021  

1.) Screening: In the screening round, short videos around 8-10, of some innovative experiments will be shared with the students. Questions, based on the experiments presented in the videos will be asked to test the students observation, skill and the basic understanding of the subject. 

Note:  For 24 hours the test window will remain open. Students are free to appear as per their convenience in a pre-opted 1-hour slot. 

Mode: Online on mooKIT platform. 

2.) Prelims: Its a unique round which requires you to perform experiments at home, with the material that is easily available. Students selected from the screening will only be allowed in the prelims. Prelims mainly focuses on performing the experiments, analysing the data, and inference by the participants. Toppers of prelims will then compete in the next round. Details will be shared to all the selected students. 

Mode: At home 

3.) Finals: Prelims selected students will then enter the Finals. Here in the finals they will perform rigorous experiments. Details regarding the finals will be shared to all the selected students. 

Mode: At home.

Eligibility  

Indian student who are studying in class 9/10/11/12/B.Sc/M.Sc from any State Board/Central Board or affiliated Colleges/Universities of India are eligible to apply for this.

Certification  

Verified Participation Certificate by IIT KANPUR will be given to all the participants for free. Cash prizes will be given to all the winners of this program.
