IIT Kanpur will be launching a fresh course “The story of Photoelectric Effect on July 15, 2021.”

Description
This course will be conducted by the National Anveshika Network of India and CCE IIT Kapur. The course will be mostly of descriptive type, along with very little use of Mathematics.
Course Content
Topics:
A. General description of light
You will learn diffraction and Interference of light, about Wavelength distribution in Sunlight, and also you will learn about visible, infrared and ultraviolet light
B. History of Photoelectric Effect
You will get to know about Laws of electricity magnetism which leads to prediction of EM waves, Hertz experiment used to produce EM waves in Lab and the observation of Photoelectric effect.
C. Einstein’s Nobel prize work
And finally you will learn about Photon theory, Prediction on Photoelectric effect Robert Millikan’s experiment on Photoelectric Effect which confirms the Einstein’s Prediction.
Certificate
Candidates will be given certifcates based on their attendance. One quiz will be there at the end of this course just to check your knowledge but it will not be used for any grading purpose.
